Fifty-four musical numbers will be performed at the 5th International Children’s Jazz Festival Pacific Fusion, organized by International linguistic School and scheduled for April 23-24. The event will feature student musicians from art schools, studios, and musical classes in the Primorye and Amur regions, as well as performers from Japan, China and South Korea. More

ILS 8th grader Olga Filimonova (section 8M3) achieved a score of 98.5 out of 100 on the DELF French language exam, after studying the language for only one year. More
ILS high school students heard a fascinating lecture on the modern Russian economy delivered by Maksim Krivelevich, who is a Candidate of Economic Sciences and a senior scholar at the Institute of Economic Studies of the Far Eastern Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences. More

At the 4th International Inter-school Festival for Foreign Students, an ensemble of ILS 2nd graders from Japan, South Korea and the Netherlands took second place with their rendition of “Jingle Bells". In the literary competition, 12th grader Kim Da-Eun was awarded third place for her reading of Robert Rozhdestvensky’s poem “Ya za toboi cherez goda” (I follow you through the years). More
At a recent class, ILS 10th graders in section 10M competed against each other in a debate organized by ILS International Baccalaureate teachers Lyubov Chernova (History) and Rhonda Slugoski (English Language). The debate was in English, as the students argued opposite sides of the statement: “Winners of wars can determine the destiny of losers.” More
Okamoto Takehiro, a representative of JIC Travel Center LTD (Japan), took time during his visit to Vladivostok to meet with ILS 10th graders participating in our school's large-scale project “Vladivostok – tourism gateway to the APR”. At a round table discussion devoted to the specific requirements of Japanese tourists visiting the Russian Far East, Okamoto Takehiro explained what attracts Japanese tourists to Vladivostok. More
