ILS 10th graders are completing work on their projects for the “Vladivostok – tourism gateway to the APR” competition. The fourth session was quite creative, with each team acting out their roles in a different dramatic genre: comedy, drama, fantasy and musical. The audience assessed their performances for fantasy, logic, and artistic imagination. More

For finishing second in the Go English, Go Korean, Go Worldwide competition, 9th grader Lev Novitsky was awarded a summer English language program in the Philippines. More

Fifty-four musical numbers will be performed at the 5th International Children’s Jazz Festival Pacific Fusion, organized by International linguistic School and scheduled for April 23-24. The event will feature student musicians from art schools, studios, and musical classes in the Primorye and Amur regions, as well as performers from Japan, China and South Korea. More

Sports competitions are an excellent way for ILS 10th graders to relax after classes, with the students meeting most recently on the basketball court. More

ILS 8th grader Olga Filimonova (section 8M3) achieved a score of 98.5 out of 100 on the DELF French language exam, after studying the language for only one year. More

ILS high school students heard a fascinating lecture on the modern Russian economy delivered by Maksim Krivelevich, who is a Candidate of Economic Sciences and a senior scholar at the Institute of Economic Studies of the Far Eastern Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences. More

Over the course of four days, ILS 9th and 10th graders presented their projects to their classmates and a panel of judges. The first to speak was Lev Novitsky (section 9M1), who presented a project called “Rebirth”. More

At the 4th International Inter-school Festival for Foreign Students, an ensemble of ILS 2nd graders from Japan, South Korea and the Netherlands took second place with their rendition of “Jingle Bells". In the literary competition, 12th grader Kim Da-Eun was awarded third place for her reading of Robert Rozhdestvensky’s poem “Ya za toboi cherez goda” (I follow you through the years). More

At a recent class, ILS 10th graders in section 10M competed against each other in a debate organized by ILS International Baccalaureate teachers Lyubov Chernova (History) and Rhonda Slugoski (English Language). The debate was in English, as the students argued opposite sides of the statement: “Winners of wars can determine the destiny of losers.” More

Okamoto Takehiro, a representative of JIC Travel Center LTD (Japan), took time during his visit to Vladivostok to meet with ILS 10th graders participating in our school's large-scale project “Vladivostok – tourism gateway to the APR”. At a round table discussion devoted to the specific requirements of Japanese tourists visiting the Russian Far East, Okamoto Takehiro explained what attracts Japanese tourists to Vladivostok. More

ILS students Aleksandr Polyakov (section 6M1), Nazar Peshko and Matvei Belyaev (section 5M1), and 3rd grader Miron Peshko took part in the All-Russian downhill skiing competition “Utro rodiny” (Morning of the motherland) in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk in the 10-11 and 12-13 age categories. More

Students from section 7M1, together with their homeroom teacher Aleksandra Matyushina, an instructor of English Language at ILS, took a feild trip to one of Primorye's most scenic spots, walking the ecotrail along Dardanelles Canyon. More

Ninth grader (section 9M1) Mikhail Zelinsky's project "Personal financial control using an application" was a prize winner at the regional stage of the All-Russian Competition for Scientific and Technical Projects in Primorye. More

ILS 10th graders in section 10M were given an interesting and unusual assignment in their writing class: each wrote a story exactly 50 words in length, and then the group, now as judges, chose the best stories. More

ILS held its traditional spring research project competition, where 7th and 8th graders give presentations in front of an audience and a panel of judges. This year the focus was on factors that influence the emergence of new musical genres and affect the further development of existing genres. More

Issue No. 11 of the ILS school newspaper Fox Tales has been published, featuring articles on science, inventions and projects. More

At a special holiday session of the ILS Russian Club, international students, together with their parents and homeroom teachers, celebrated Maslenitsa (Pancake week). More
