Students from Shaanxi Pedagogical University in Xi'an China, along with ILS international students and members of our school's CIS Student Council took part in the city's Tiger Day parade. The carnival-like event featured joyful cheers, painted faces and striped costumes.
"Tiger Day helps to draw people's attention to the need to protect this rare resident of our wilderness, the Amur tiger," explains Yulia Filatova, who teaches Russian as a Foreign Language at ILS. "It also helps our Russian and international students bond; during the event they felt like a unified team."
