ILS 5th graders from section 5M2 were treated to a lesson on The Tropical Forest Community and sea mammal training at the Primorye Oceanarium.
The students learned about insects and reptiles living in tropical forests and observed them in terrariums. Then they completed lesson tasks for evaluation by an ILS biology teacher.
Following the lesson, the 5th graders went to the dophinarium to attend a training session for sea mammals. The students met Misha the walrus, as well as belugas and dolphins.
“Without a doubt, these fields trips are important for our students,” says Olga Krotenok, who teaches mathematics at ILS and serves as homeroom teacher for section 5M2. “At the Oceanarium our students saw plants and animals in conditions that closely resemble their natural habitat.”
