ILS 6th graders successfully complete TRIZ training

ILS 6th graders have completed their TRIZ (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) training, with section 6M3 as the final group. During their two days with their trainer, teacher-psychologist Sergei Napadny, students in each section came up with non-standard solutions to by no means simple problems.

“One important aspect of TRIZ is that it allows students listen to each other and take into account other students’ ideas, while defending their own point of view,” Sergei explains. "During our sometimes heated discussions, the students always managed to reach a well-reasoned decision acceptable to all."

“For those of us who are teachers, TRIZ is a search for more optimal ways of conducting lessons,” says ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “As experience shows, the solution to even the most difficult problems lies in simple steps toward the desired result. We are trying to teach our students to think clearly, but outside the box. In my view, TRIZ is very effective gymnastics for the mind. I hope that our students and their teacher acquired new knowledge and competencies.”
