ILS students, together with teacher trainees visiting the school from Shaanxi Pedagogical University in Xi'an, China, participated in Vladivostok's grand parade for Tiger Day.
"Every year on the fourth Sunday in September our city celebrates Tiger Day," explains Anastasia Strogaya, who teaches English Language and serves as CAS leader in the school's IB program. "This holiday is a great favorite among our international students and guests as well as among the local students."
"It is very important to draw attention to the environment and the preservation of nature, particularly endagered species as the Amur tiger," notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. "At ILS we try to raise students' ecological awareness."
