ILS 9th graders participated in a Game Club competition, demonstrating their subject knowledge along with their erudition and impressive ability for quick response.English language proved to be the most popular task topic, with interpretation of various idiomatic phrases leading to lively discussion among the teams. The Russian Language and Literature questions were also quite challenging.
"Game Club allows students to reinforce their knowledge," notes ILS Deputy Principal Marina Artemenko, who serves as Game Club advisor. "It's an excellent opportunity to review what you know and learn where more work is needed."
The 9th graders' battle of wits lasted a full hour, and the results were: 1st place - section 9M1; 2nd place - section 9M2; 3rd place - section 9M3.
Мы рады, что Game Club – стал еще одной традицией нашей школы, где развиваются лучшие личностные качества наших учеников.
"The games were played by students from three of our older grades, with each of them fielding questions from different areas of knowledge," explains ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. "The range of subjects was wide, including history, mathematics, social science, physics, IT, literature and languages, with the students preparing for each area before the games. We are pleased that Game Club has become another permanent feature of school life, as it helps to develop students' personal qualities."
