How do pictures appear in our television sets? What is a TV studio? Why are TV presenters so handsome or beautiful? Who creates the broadcasts? ILS students from section 6M4 learned about all of this and more during a visit to Vladivostok State TV and Radio Company.
“I read a presenter’s text and tired myself in the role of director,” says Yulia Emelyanova.
“I got a chance to be a radio program host,” explains Polina Babina.
“I always wanted to know who works in television, and now I’ve seen them in action,” says Rinat Nigmatulin.
In the studio the children saw how presenters, editors, and prompters work during a news broadcast, sat at the news anchor’s desk, and learned what lead TV editors and engineers do.
“For many, the world of television in something unusual, although the people who work there are just like the rest of us,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. "The children met and spoke with the full range of TV professionals and saw how broadcasts are created. Getting the insider’s view into things you knew little about – what could be better!”
