Two more Game Club competitions took place at ILS, with students in 6th grade sections battling in fields of knowledge, such as social studies, history of the Middle Ages, and literature and 7th graders testing themselves in areas including geology and biology.
While some of the students set forth the hierarchy of counts, barons and knights on the feudal ladder, others displayed their knowledge of dried riverbeds in Africa and Australia, and remembered the name of an animal that resembles a flower.
The 6th grade competition was won by section 6M3, while section 7M2 prevailed among the 7th graders.
“We are very pleased that the Game Club competitions are so popular among our students,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “The teams train to respond quickly, think critically, win audience support, and work as a team.”
