All students of the International Linguistic School won prizes at the 6th Pacific Fusion International Children's Jazz Festival-Competition

Students of the International Linguistic School annually take part in the Pacific Fusion International Children's Jazz Festival-Competition. For the past 6 years, pupils who were studying with Olga Anatolyevna Sergienko, Vyacheslav Ivanovich Vedernikov, and Yakov Evgenievich Kalashnikov have successfully demonstrated their musical abilities.

- A lot of people who moved to the group of soloists and took first places, started in the school ensemble named "Sound Wave", - says Olga Anatolyevna about her students. - from the 5th grade Lev Novitsky and Mikhail Karasev trained a lot to earn successful results. Trying yourself in the soloist nomination is always a transition to a new, to a more difficult level. It is so good that this initiative was passed with great enthusiasm among the students of our school, so the guys showed their interest in choosing a competitive program. Even though the competition was held in a remote format, the preparation for it was even more serious.

“We have been working with Mikhail Zelensky for 7 years,” explains Yakov Kalashnikov. - Music is a serious hobby for him, he is getting musical education at the Children's School of Arts # 1. His teacher is Ha Ri, a musician from South Korea. He has won multiple awards in many international music competitions.
 - This year, unfortunately, only my youngest student, a 4th grader, Ulyana Mestulova, presented a competitive work at Pacific Fusion, - says Vyacheslav Vedernikov. - Unfortunately, the epidemiological situation seriously affected the training of the children. I hope that the upcoming VII Pacific Fusion will be held in a different format.
At the 6th Pacific Fusion International Children's Jazz Festival-Competition Mikhail Zelensky performed with the Benny Greb medley, Lev Novitsky played Steve Wonder's “I Wish”, Mikhail Karasev performers with Morris Albert's “Feelings”, Rea Su Hwa (Republic of Korea) played “Moon Rivers” and Ulyana Mestulova performed Sir Duke “It’s very nice to see how our guys are growing up, how their performing skills are growing, with what responsibility they approach each Pacific Fusion,” says Olga Shevchenko, the principle of the International Linguistic School. - I congratulate our students and their teachers on well-deserved victories!
