The Cambridge University Department of English Language Examinations has expressed its thanks to ILS teachers of English for successful preparation of students for the international exams held at ILS two times a year, in December and April. More

The jury for the “Silver Archer” Far East prize has made its choice, naming the finalists for the regional competition. More

ILS 5th grader Aleksei Zakharenko, Vladivostok champion in the Parilla Mini-Class carting competition held in September 2016, recently received a certificate of congratulations from the Vladivostok city government. More

ILS 10th graders Timofei Taran, Yegor Bratukhin and Grigorii Chan visited the museum-exhibition complex at VGUES, which, together with the Primorye Division of the Russian Artists’ Union, held the exhibition “Graphic Art” (miniature). Our students discovered works by artists from all around the Russian Far East, including more than 30 miniatures by artists from Vladivostok, Artem, Nakhodka, Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Blagoveshchensk. ILS 7th and 8th graders enjoyed New Year’s quests organized for them by staff from “School of Your Abilities”. Students participated in an exciting game, where they had to solve New Year’s puzzles and carry out interesting tasks. The event was a success, generating great fun and many retellings of the adventure. More

ILS creative studio “Fashion and Style” lead by Tatyana Vetokhina, continue to garner attention in the local youth fashion world. More

ILS 10th grader Yekaterina Drozdova took third place at the XI Primorsky Regional Calligraphy Competition for university and high school students, organized by the FEFU Confucius Institute, with support from the head office of the Confucius Institute and the State Office for Overseas Study of the Chinese Language (Hanban). Following publication of the second issue of Fox Tales, our writers and editorial board met to celebrate the event. The number of student participants is on the rise, with 22 ILS students taking part in preparing the latest issue. More

ILS 10th grade students Jung Gawon, Park Yoonsun, Yekaterina Zagrai and Yekaterina Drozdova visited children with onco-hematological diseases at Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital No.1. All four students have been active participants in volunteer work for quite some time, and they prepared most thoroughly for this visit. More
