Mathematics trainings continue at ILS for students in grades 7-11. The topic is "Solving Complex and Olympiad Mathmatics Problems" and the trainers are Moscow Physics and Technical Institute graduate and mathematician Sergei Agakhanov and Yuri Kuzmenko, who teaches at Physics and Technical Lyceum No.5 in the city of Dolgoprundy and serves as an assistant at the Moscow Physics and Technical Institute's Department of Higher Mathematics. Fifth graders in section 5M1 went to work from the moment the class began. Their mental warm-up started with a fast-moving numbers dictation exercise, where, without writing anything in their notebooks, they had to quickly decide "more", "less" or "equal". After about five minutes, their work was checked. Almost all the children handled the task brilliantly. More
