Tuesday of Science Week at ILS was a rich mixture of experiments, competitions and interesting lectures. Fourth graders learned about rare animals in Primorye.
Sixth graders honed their knowledge, erudition and reaction time by participating in a brain ring prepared by ILS history teachers Alena Zvereva and Olga Yarmetova, and they also heard many interesting facts about tree growtр history.
IB teacher Maria Anoshkina told our 7th graders how cryptocurrency is created.
Serafima Klyshevskaya, from the Far Eastern Division of the Russian Academy of Sciences, gave a lesson to ILS 8th graders, showing them how to determine water purity and chemical content, as well as what compounds to use when checking water quality, and the role of oxygen.
ILS 9th graders had the most challenging task: defending their research projects.
"When preparing for Science Week, we tried to ensure that every student of our school would discover useful, interesting information,” explains ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “Our teachers and guest lecturers created fascinating research quests for all our classes, with every day full of new discoveries.”
