ILS 4th graders and their teacher Olga Yakovleva took part in entertaining chemistry experiments.
Under the guidance of specialists from the "Visiting Spice Cakes" agency, the children experimented with liquid nitrogen, learning the characteristics of this gas. The simplest and most effective experiment was the process of replacing nitrogen with boiling water, as a result of which everything is covered with thick, cold steam.
"Events like this present various chemical and physical phenomena to young students in an accessible, understandable form," says Olga Yakovleva. "The children are showing increasing interest in seeing how experiments work and solving problems themselves."
"It is easier for younger students to understand experiments when they see with their own eyes how various elements interact and how the results can be used in our daily lives, particularly when the children try to do these experiments on their own," notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko.
