The school year has begun, and students are visiting the library in large numbers. Along with textbooks, the ILS library offers encyclopedias and other reference materials along with many different works of fiction and journals for students from primary to high-school grades.
“Every year our collection increases by more than 1,500 books,” notes ILS librarian Nadezhda Sadykova. “This year, our 10th graders’ curriculum has been expanded to include law, technology and business, with base and advanced level text books for each subject. We also have books in English for the IB Program. As for works of fiction, the library has a full collection of titles for grades 0-12.”
“In our library students and teachers can always find materials for the educational process as well as works of prose and poetry by famous authors in Russian and other languages,” explains ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “It is good to know that our students devote a great deal of time to reading and that our library offers them a wide range of subjects and titles.”
