On the eve of Victory Day, students of grades 6M1, 6M2, 8M1, 8M2, 10A, 10B and 10V went on excursions to places of military glory. From the very foundation, Vladivostok was conceived as an outpost of Russia on the Pacific Ocean, and the famous Vladivostok fortress became its first defensive object.
Students from 6M1 and 6M2 went on an excursion. The seventh fort is one of the 16 forts of the Vladivostok fortress, it was built from 1910 to 1916 and is located on the mountain named after Toropov, an engineer who supervised the start of the construction of the fort. - Preservation of historical memory is an important part of education, - says Olga Shevchenko, principal of the International Linguistic School.
– We see what interests our students, how they listened to the guides and discussed what they saw among themselves. Perhaps, after the excursions, they will learn more about the history of their country, read books or find films that correspond the events.
