ILS 10th graders Timofei Taran, Yegor Bratukhin and Grigorii Chan visited the museum-exhibition complex at VGUES, which, together with the Primorye Division of the Russian Artists’ Union, held the exhibition “Graphic Art” (miniature). Our students discovered works by artists from all around the Russian Far East, including more than 30 miniatures by artists from Vladivostok, Artem, Nakhodka, Khabarovsk, Komsomolsk-on-Amur and Blagoveshchensk.
Our students also visited the competitive exhibition “New Year’s Tree”, where they enjoyed unusual holiday trees, including one made of paper, one of books, and one of glass.
10th graders from the Republic of Korea also spent their time well, visiting the Arseniev Primorye State Museum. Students commented that the museum is just as fascinating as museums in Europe, saying they – the girls no less than the boys – were particularly impressed by the exhibit of sabers and swords.
