Every year on January 27, UNESCO remembers the victims of the Holocaust and reaffirms its unwavering commitment to the battle against anti-Semitism, racism and other forms of intolerance, which could lead to deliberate acts of violence against specific groups of people.
“Our school teaches students from various countries,” says ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko, “and we see how they communicate and make friends with each other. The differences among people enrich us, but the Holocaust ignored this, deeply wounding the countries devastated by Nazi crimes. Until all people find a way to live together peacefully, we must never forget the horrors of Fascism.”
