Among those participating in Science Week at ILS were our youngest students from Russia, Japan, India and the Netherlands, children from pre-school age to 4th grade, who were treated to a special “Mega-science” show. Together with their teacher Olga Yakovleva, the children immersed themselves in a cheerful atmosphere of illusions, along with experiments in physics and chemistry.
A mega-science specialist demonstrated for the children an air cannon, smoking ice, and liquids that changed color, and revealed to the excited students the secrets of several magic tricks: how to hide a satin handkerchief in your hand or how to make a ball disappear in a magic bag. The young experimenters tried their hand at magic for their classmates and were most convincing.
