During Maslenitsa week, Bayarushka Studio participants Alina Kushnir, Maria Shteinkova and Elena Bolsunovskaya told students from the European Pro-gymnasium about the history of traditional Russian costumes.
"I tried on 19th century women's costumes from Central Russian," says 7M1 student Alina Kushnir. "When you wear a beautiful kokoshnik crown and a lovely sarafan, it's a very special feeling."
"Particpiation in a costume hoilday with fellow students from the European Pro-gymnasium gave our students new experiences," says ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. "We are very pleased that our students' creative efforts are in demand and that we can show them to the general public."
