The traditional 3rd quarter sports competitions at ILS have been completed, with all the results tallied, as students in grades 5-10 competed to determine who are the fastest, cleverest and most skilled. The list of sports included football, volleyball, pioneerball, basketball, table tennis and chess.
"We try to devote proper attention to our students' development in the area of sport," explains ILS physical education teacher Raisa Soroka. "In addition to PE lessons, the school holds regular sport events, and offers open sections for mini-football, volleyball, basketball and chess."
Our young skiers also did very well this year in seasonal competitions. ILS 4th grader Nazar Peshko, 5th grader Aleksandr Polyakov and 7th grader Anastasia Peshko all took part in the All-Russian Downhill Skiing Competition "Utro Rodiny" in the 10-11 and 12-13 age groups.
