ILS students in grades 5-8 presented a total of 11 reports at the 15th Far Eastern Youth Environmental Conference "People and the biopsphere".

Students from Russia, India, Britain and South Korea spoke about their household pets, about pollution of the world's air and oceans, global warming, factors contributing to plant growth, and about their views concerning the state of the environment in Primorye.

"Participation in a serious event such as this one gives students the opportunity to understand how effective their efforts have been," says ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. "The research done in preparation for the reports allowed each student to feel the emotions that scientists experience when doing their experiments."

Our international students' reports made a very positive impression on the judges, and here are the final results:
