The collection of ILS 9th graders Maria Shteinikova and Polina Shklyaeva received a Winner's Diploma at the 2018 China Zhengzhou International Fashion Week, part of China Zhengzhou International Culture Week.
Together with their teacher, Tatyana Vetokhina, who heads the ILS Fashion and Design Studio, our students presented their collection “Mystery of the Druids” to the audience and judges.
“It was a great honor for us to participate in International Fashion Week and work with people who are true professionals in their field,” notes Tatyana Vetokhina. “China Fashion Week is one of the most popular platforms for displaying fashion trends in China and the world as a whole. Our collection, “Mystery of the Druids”, won a 1st Degree Diploma and the Grand Prize University at Pacific Style Week – 2018 in Vladivostok, and it is very gratifying to receive recognition as well from the world fashion community.
“We congratulate our creative team on their victory,” says ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “Our school assigns great importance to our students’ creative education, as well as to the discovery and development of their talents. Our young designers win prizes at city and international competitions on a regular basis, and participation in events of this magnitude gives them valuable experience and inspiration for realizing new ideas.”
