The student council presidential campaign has been intense, with 10th grade candidate Yaroslav Paramonov handing out "Paramonov 20!8" stickers to friends and supporters from the very first day.

Students are actively discussing issues such as what qualities the Student Council president should possess and what aspects of the candidates' platforms are most important to their fellow students.

"For my campaign, I created a video clip to be shown every day on the school's YouTube channel," explains Anfisa Bogdanenko, who is Yaroslav's classmate and opponent in the presidential campaign. "My first clip is about professional orientation. As part of my preparation for the elections, I met with specialists who were giving master classes at our school and organizing trips to companies. I think this is very useful for choosing your future profession."

"The Student Council elections are an important stage in the process of forming the student government," notes ILS Principal Ilga Shevchenko. "I am sure that all our candidates are capable of realizing their ideas, with help from those who support them."
