ILS held its traditional New Year's charity fair. All the money collected will go to the "Preserve life" charity fund to help children suffering from various forms of cancer.
Our students, their parents and grandparents contributed baked goods, candies and other sweets to the fair.
With help from teachers Yelena Belyaeva, Lyubov Shatova and Svetlana Golubina, the children created a wide range of ceramic gifts, including souvenirs, decorations, animal figurines and hairpins, along with handsome handmade greeting cards.
"It's very good that we have fairs like this," says 7th grader Sofia Mityureva. "My classmates and I were very happy to make a contribution to these good deeds."
"Our students were very enthusiastic about preparing the gifts for the fair," notes Svetlana Golubina. "School children understand that it's necessary to help others and appreciate the importance of doing this."
"Our school believes in the value of charitable work," explains ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. "We hold charity fairs on a regular basis and students in our older classes visit children at the Children's Oncological Center of Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No.1
