Sport competitions at the end of the academic quarter have become a tradition at ILS, and regardless of how hard-fought a match may be, in the end there is always a winner, this time with a final count of 6:2.
“This is the second year we have ended the quarter with sports competitions,” notes Physical Education teacher Raisa Soroka. “It is a great thing when the students go all out in the match, doing everything they can to help their team win.”
“Sports competitions foster vitality and give the students’ mood a lift, but they also provide a model for good behavior,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “Our school devotes quite a lot of attention to sport, particularly in the third quarter, so these second-quarter matches for sixth and seventh graders are good preparation for the school-wide competitions that take place from January through March.”
