ILS 5th grader Taisia Yurova (section 5M1) and her partner took second place in the juniors group at the international dancesport tournament “East Coast Cup 2019”.
“This was the first time we competed in a tournament at this level with a juniors program,” explains Taisia. “We were very pleased to win second place in our age category, especially as the East Coast Cup includes competitors from all around the Asia-Pacific Region.”
The organizers of the tournament are the All-Russian Dancesport and Acrobatic Rock-and-Roll Federation, the Primorsky Regional Dancesport Federation, the Association of APR Member Nation Clubs, and the Regional Division of the All-Russian Movement “Mothers of Russia”. The competition brings together more than 1,000 participants from the Russian Far East, China and South Korea.
“We congratulate Taisia and her partner on their success at the tournament,” says ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “Our students are very talented, and consistently display their creative and sport potential not only at ILS events but also at various events at other venues.”
