ILS held its traditional spring research project competition, where 7th and 8th graders give presentations in front of an audience and a panel of judges. This year the focus was on factors that influence the emergence of new musical genres and affect the further development of existing genres.
"All the groups did serious research work," explains Svetlana Feshchenko, who teaches English Language and serves as Coordinator for English Language Subjects in grades 5-9. "The students prepared and rehearsed diligently; some of them even used dances and musical numbers in their presentations."
