The training program: “Modern Russian language teaching in bilingual and multicultural schools” for teachers is underway at ILS, with lectures given by Professor Elizaveta Khamrayeva, who is a Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences and the Director of the Inter-university Center for Bilingual and Multicultural Education at the A. I. Hertzen Russian State Pedagogical University, and her colleagues Irina Kondrakova, who is a Candidate in Pedagogical Sciences and Head of the Department of Organizational and Methodological Support in Pedagogical Education, and Anna Oblasova, who serves as head of the university’s Department of Work with Educational Institutions.

Elizaveta Khamrayeva explains: “The program will be useful not only for teachers working with bilingual children but also for those teaching Russian as a native language. During the five-day course, the teachers will work intensively with Russian language teaching methods, educational personification methodology, and will also attend master classes. The final stage of the program is defense of individual projects.”

ILS teachers attending the course are joined by professional colleagues from Dalrybtuz (Vladivostok), School No. 29 (Khabarovsk) and AppleTreeSchool (Seoul).
