Students from section 5M3 and their homeroom teacher, Galina Korotkonozhkina had a “get-acquainted” lesson at the school library. It was not their first visit, but this time they learned a great deal more about the facility.
School librarian Nadezhda Sadykova told the students about the library’s current exhibitions and also acquainted them with the School Library section of the ILS website (mlsh.ru; ils-vl.com).
“This is where students and their parents can find out mandatory reading lists, browse in the literature catalog, and look at book recommendations,” explains Nadezhda Sadykova. “The site also has electronic exhibitions and a lot of other useful information besides. All you have to do is click on the section name.”
“These get-acquainted lessons are valuable for our 5th graders,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “Most of them are in their first year of study at ILS, and it’s beneficial for them to learn about our facilities in comfortable surroundings.”
