ILS students discuss modern trends on education and labor markets

Representatives of the company Education First (EF) came to ILS, where they met with our 8th graders to discuss current trends on the labor market, differences between education in Russia and elsewhere, and the knowledge and skills required for a successful job search.

“In our modern world we see changes in the basic labor principles,” explains Daria Karpukova, Director of Educational Programs for EF Moscow. “Key factors today are fast learning, the ability to work with information, a broad range of knowledge, and mastery of foreign languages.”

The EF representatives asked our students what professions they might like to choose in the future and where they might go to study.

“ILS devotes a great deal of attention to our students’ future study plans,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “In order for them to feel comfortable anywhere in the world, we try to provide a very high level of education. For example. in addition to English, our students study German, French, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. Our science classes use modern laboratory and technical equipment, and lessons are taught by highly qualified professional educators.”
