ILS students from section 5M1, together with their homeroom teacher Ulyana Bondarenko, were the first to visit the new Quantorium Children’s Technopark in the Palace of Children’s Art.
“The center is designed to create space for students' intellectual efforts and teamwork on high-tech equipment,” says Marina Artemenko, Deputy Principal for Science at ILS. “Here, the students can feel like real scientists and researchers, and the format of the classes is more focused on the students’ practical activities.
The technopark offers classes in the following areas:
The technopark also offers mathematics, English language and “quantochess”.
“A technology center like this is very useful for schoolchildren,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “The students gain new knowledge and useful professional skills, despite their young age. We are already cooperating with Quantorium specialists, so our 3rd and 4th grade students learned about options for energy conservation, where electricity comes from, and how energy sources influence the environment.
