Science Week at ILS continues with classes for younger students

“Physics in experiments” was the name of a lesson that ILS high school students gave for 4th grades during Science Week. The young researchers were shown various experiments related to inertia, the force of tension of water, and other entertaining effects.

The students tried to heat needles with fire to pierce a balloon so that it did not burst. They also attempted to throw a coin into a bottle with the help of a paper wheel and even make a real mini-volcano.

Students of grade 0 and 1st graders attended a lesson called "Amazing soil properties,” where they talked about various types of soil, what soil consists of, and learned to determine its granulometric composition.

“Even the youngest students in our school are interested in Science Week,” notes ILS Principal Olga Shevchenko. “Experiments and studies help schoolchildren to get involved in science and better understand the nature of various phenomena.”
