A fascinating walk to the Novosiltsevskaya battery was made by students of the 6m1 class.
During the tour, the children learned that despite the formidable and intimidating appearance, not a single gun was ever fired.
- It's amazing that more than a hundred years ago, the military managed to build such a fortification - marvels Gleb Markov, student of 6m1. – But what's even more surprising is that not a single shot was fired!
– It seems to me that this is the art of war - to protect Vladivostok from enemies without a single shot, - says Gleb's classmate Arina Ostanina. - We walked on the steps, on which, at the beginning of the XX century, the defenders of Vladivostok were walking! It's great that it still exists to this day!
Traveling through the buildings of the battery, kids were happy to run through the maze created by our contemporaries. Despite its young age, the labyrinth of the Novosiltsevskaya battery has already managed to acquire its legends.
- We are lucky to be residents of the city - an outpost of Russia on the Pacific Ocean - says Olga Shevchenkothe, the principal of the International Linguistic School. - Even though Vladivostok is a young city, its history is rich. It is wonderful that our students choose excursions for themselves, where they can touch the history of Vladivostok.
