Park Se-Hee and Song Kyongho, students of 10th grade, and 12th-grade student Park Kyu Nam have reached the final of the II International Online Olympiad in the Russian language as a Foreign Language. It was held by St. Petersburg University and the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation.
- Olympiad tasks included correct usage of the prepositions, writing word endings, putting the words with the same roots in the sentence - says Park Se-Hee, the student of the 10th grade. – I was pleased with the fact that I reached the final.
- The tasks of the final round were more difficult than the qualifying round. We were reading different texts and completed grammar tasks - explains Song Gyeong-ho. – In one of the tasks, we needed to distinguish Russian slang words from literary ones. Besides that, we were asked to make new words out of the letters from one long word.
- I got such tasks as recognition of long words and words written by hand, changing the meaning of the saying to the contrary - continues the conversation Pak Kyu Us. – I want to be among the winners and get the opportunity to pass the state test of the Russian language as a foreign language and receive a special diploma, which gives significant benefits for admission to St. Petersburg University (SPBU).
- Our students did very well. Work and diligence are always rewarded - says Olga Shevchenko, the principal of the International Linguistic School. – We are happy when foreign students of the International Linguistic School choose Russian universities. This means that we have managed to form the children's respect for our country and Russian education.
