Literacy Day at the International Linguistic School: Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces.

The theme of this year's International Literacy Day is "Transforming Spaces for Literacy Learning" and, as is tradition, students from grades 4 and 5 are active participants in Literacy Day.

- We invite our students to rethink the theme of the International Literacy Day, - explains the English teacher, coordinator of the subjects of the English cycle of grades 1-9 Svetlana Feshchenko. – With the development of technology, children spend too much time with gadgets and their phones: they play, chat, watch various videos, which significantly reduces direct communication with each other, during which the emotional states of children are formed, such as sympathy, joy, openness. - The idea of developing communication skills is not new, but the rapid development of technology has made board games not so relevant, - says Olga Shevchenko, principal of the International Linguistic School. - Board games form thinking, reaction speed, social skills. I am sure that after Literacy Day our students will appreciate board games much more than before. We are waiting for the presentations!
