The International Baccalaureate Organization, a recognized leader in the international educational, offers three programs for students aged 3 to 19 years. These include the PYP program for kindergarten and elementary school, the MYP program for high lower school grades, and the DP diploma program for students aged 16-19
ILS was accredited for the Diploma Program in May 2007. Students, parents and teachers together develop the individual educational profile (curriculum), a program of in-depth study of a range of subjects to prepare students for university-level study in Russia or abroad. The DP consists of six subjects that each student chooses from six discipline groups, such as foreign languages, natural sciences, people and society, and others. Three are the subject studied at the Higher Level, three at the Standard Level. All students also take "Theory of Knowledge" and "Creativity, Action, Service." DP is for students in grades 11-12, and courses are taught in English. Grade 10 at ILS is Pre-IB.
IB program motivate students to strive for continuous development of new knowledge, an active position in life, and openness to other cultures, beliefs and integrity. The driving principle of IB is preparation of well-rounded, active students ready to take responsibility as citizens possessing a dynamic combination of knowledge and skills, as well as creative and creative thinking.
